Finding Motivation.

Finding motivation can be pretty hard sometimes. The English dictionary defines motivation as the desire to do; interest or drive. Everyone has the desire to do something right? Right. If not, well...... sucks to be you. But just because someone has the desire for something doesnt mean your going to be able to have it given to you. You have to have the will to pursue it. Most people have the desire to loose a few pounds. Does that make them motivated? Nope. You have to want it bad enough to have the will to put the Ho Ho's and Coke down, and go run.

Sometimes finding the will to go and pick up something heavy, or burn out those extra sprints is hard. Everyone has an off day. We need external factors to keep us going. Sometimes just seeing someone else doing it is enough.

What if your a chick and dont want to be huge like that?

Then here you go.

The fact is everyone has off days, or even has trouble getting started so they can have an off day. I guess one of the best ways to get yourself started is just to look at yourself in the mirror and ask if your happy with your appearance. I'm not saying you need a six pack to look good, or that what others think about how you look is all that matters. What do you think of yourself. My wife tells me all the time that I look like I'm making good progress in the gym; and while that makes me feel great that someone is noticing, I tell myself "wait till I get where I want to be."

For those of us that already are hitting the gym, at the end of every workout ask yourself, "Was that the best I could do?" If it was then good for you, that's a benchmark for you to surpass next time. If you say no, I could have done better, do what it takes to get after it better next time. Get a workout partner or just find someone that can push you to get better. Competition is the best motivator.

Don't be scared or intimidated by the dudes that are so big they cant wipe there own butts. They were just like you once. Push yourself! Go harder and faster than before! The only thing holding you back is yourself.

Next time Ill get into what program I'm going with, some 1repmax's and personal goals. Cheers and Jeers? Let me hear em.
